Living and loving Staffordshire

It's simple - I live here and I love here. Staffordshire has been my home (on and off in bits) for nearly 40 years (ok given age away now) and I'm passionate about what it offers both as a holiday destination to be discovered, savoured and relished, but also as a place to live. Our new website is about just that - how to get the best out of living here and how to get the best holiday you love here.
Case in point - a future guest rang today to chat about their up coming visit and all the really important topics came up. She was planning food! She wanted to know where was best for getting those special extra treats you buy on holiday? They are a mixed generation family group and so she needed to know the best walks for her ability and were there good pubs - but also riding for the younger ones? This is the essence of a family holiday - yes you can plan the big stuff and buy tickets online, but you want someone to guide you through the little things that makes a good holiday great! You need a friend to hold your hand.
Anyway I pointed her in the direction of The Staffordshire Way and suggested a couple of sites to visit for inspiration and also mentioned the Ramblers Retreat and Dimmingsdale for a gentler walk with cake! Leek, with shops like Colloco and Period Features, not to mention the antiques, seemed to be a must for the shoppers in her family and I was able to mention the award winning Denstone Hall Farm Shop for those extra holiday treats. All that within 10 miles!!
